Etcetera Footwear and Fashions was opened in April 2012 by owners Mike and Jackie Lesser. Mike had been a integral part of the Margolians department store for 28 years and had accumulated over 40 years in the fashion retail industry. Since that long standing Truro based business closed it’s doors forever Mike realized that their was now a gaping hole that needed to be filled in Truro’s bustling downtown shopping district. He soon after opened the doors of Etcetera in the newly renovated former Margolian building on Inglis Street. Using his wealth of knowledge for comfortable, dependable and stylish clothing and footwear he filled the store with the best quality products available. All employees are former members of the Margolians sales team and it’s the experience that they gained there that has given them the tools necessary to make for an easy and fun filled shopping experience for the customer.

Hub Cycle was opened on March 15th, 2000 by co-owners, Bruce and Daisy Roberts. Since then, it has been the destination bicycling shop of Truro and the surrounding area. Originally located at 37 Inglis Place, we started out very small and carried a large array of products. We used to have a large business in skateboarding, kayaking, camping gear, and a few other sporting categories. Due to space constraints, however, having so many different types of products forced us to either have a very limited selection of each one, or to have a very over-crowded store. In order to fix this problem, we decided to put more focus on bicycle sales and service and less on the other products. As we started getting more well-known and becoming a busier and more crowded store, we began to look for a larger space in the local area. We were lucky enough to find one right next-door! We moved to 33 Inglis... More

Sara Bonnyman Pottery
Welcome to my world of handmade functional stoneware pottery and hooked rugs . I have a passion to throw pots and I share that age old belief that the true joy of handmade pottery is in holding it, feeling the spirit of the clay as it holds whatever small pleasure you have chosen to use the pot for. Dinner ware, oven ware and, of course, the famous Moss Scuttle are designed for practical, every day use. I ship . I’m also proud to say that all the electricity I use to make pots is wind generated . We are the only town in Nova Scotia to be able to make that claim – when the wind blows. Since Tatamagouche is on the ocean surrounded by hills, the wind blows often! In summer, I throw pots most weekday mornings, so if you happen to find yourself in the Tatamagouche area, you are more than welcome to come in and share the magic and tour my pottery workshop. More
